Prayers upon the prophet

Today a spontaneous feeling of joy and love erupted in me as I thought about our beloved prophet, Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم.

Nearly every day I think about him, and most of all I think of him going to that cave in the mountain near Mecca, Jabal Nour (the mountain of light) and him walking up the mountain and staying in the cave and contemplating.

I wanted to share this love for our belove prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, the best of creation and the mercy to all mankinds.

Every day at least we should perform 100 durood (supplication for peace and blessings upon the prophet). When we perform our 5 times daily prayers (salah) , and even for the many Muslims who do not perform all 5 but pray here and there, we should remember the holy prophet when we ask Allah to bless him.

Here are pictures of Jabal Nour and the cave of Hira, remember and love your prophet oh Muslims. The love for Allah’s beloved will make the one who has the greatest love of all love you too and bring joy, blessings and happiness in your life.

Men pictured walking up the mountain of light, “Jabal Nour” in Arabic.

Nearly every day, sometimes at night, sometimes in my prayers, sometimes whilst walking on the streets I think of him walking up that mountain heading towards that cave. When I walk sometimes in the streets and pay attention to my foot steps I think of his (the beloved of Allah’s صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) footsteps. I imagine his sandles, the sand and the pebbles and the perhaps cold Meccan nights and wind whilst he was there in the cave of Hira.

The cave of Hira, where holy prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم used to sit and contemplate and where he received the divine revelation.

Oh Muslims remember your prophet, the orphan child, the one who was renowned for his honesty, the one who cared for the oppressed and the weak, the one who was mocked, humiliated and beaten. Remember him oh Muslims, and love him. Love him with a love which is greater than the love you have for the one you may have married and whom there is no guarantee you will be with forever, love him more than you love many others, for in times of distress when you turn to Allah for help it was he who struggled hard to teach this ummah (nation) how to gain the pleasure of Allah and his help.

Peace and prayers be upon the final messenger, Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and upon his noble family and companions and his ummah (nation) and all the messengers and their followers.

Ameen
